This week, Genshin Impact received update 7.1 “Requiem of the Echoing Depths”. Developers added a pair of new 5-star heroines — Spring and Hydro Nymph, as well as new weapons and story content.
Soon, players began to complain about technical problems, for example, one of the quests could not be completed due to a critical bug. miHoYo (HoYoverse) has prepared several fixes for Genshin Impact:
- Fixed an issue where, in some cases, players could not possess the Koholazaur in the dungeon “Black Feathers, Fallen at the Hour of Farewell” during the Archon Quest “Requiem of the Echoing Depths”, which prevented further story progression.
- Improved hints for gameplay with the walkie-talkie during the objective “Infiltrate the Vault” of the “One Last Chance” stage of the Archon Quest “White Night After a Long Sleep”. Now the corresponding instructions have become more precise — the hint has been changed to: “While within the blue boundary, aim at the enemy and use the walkie-talkie”.
- Fixed an issue where some red notification icons in the “Event Overview” menu did not disappear.
miHoYo also reported that the display order of some events in the “Event Overview” menu has been improved. In addition, an issue was fixed where, after being affected by the Stardust reaction, the effectiveness of destroying the Ice Casket of the Ice Witch and Ice Guardian with Pyro and Geo was incorrect.
Genshin Impact developers said that an error was found in the English voice acting in some cutscenes of the Archon Quests “White Night After a Long Sleep” and “One Last Chance”, due to which the spoken lines did not match the text. This is planned to be fixed in one of the next updates. miHoYo did not specify when it plans to release the next patch.
Some players in the comments reported that after installing Genshin Impact 7.1, the game stopped launching for them. So far, they have not been able to find a solution to their problem.
