Recently, a modder under the nickname Shpan announced that The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall has become an MMO game 30 years after its release. An unofficial multiplayer was created for the Bethesda Softworks classic.
The project is called Daggerfall Enhanced: players will be able to embark on adventures with other people. This project is based on Daggerfall Unity (a fan-made remake of the original game) with open source.
Shpan showed a selection of gameplay footage in Daggerfall Enhanced multiplayer:
Daggerfall Enhanced offers players several hundred quests from the original The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. Players will be able to team up with other users. Shops will be open 24/7, and time will be synchronized.
The Daggerfall Enhanced project website is available at the following link. The modders noted that it will be possible to play in the browser. To launch the game, it will be necessary to provide Daggerfall game data. Players will be able to choose two skins when creating a character — how the character will look mounted and when moving on foot.
