The PS5 Pro shortage is affecting more and more markets. Available devices are quickly bought up, after which they appear at resellers at even higher prices.
Now the problem has reached Japan, where Sony has decided to use a lottery system familiar from the period of the regular PS5 shortage. Participation itself does not guarantee a purchase: only randomly selected users will get the opportunity to order the console.
At the same time, Sony has set an additional condition – only owners of PlayStation Network accounts who have spent at least 60 hours playing games in the last two years can participate. This way, the company tries to direct the limited number of consoles to active users and at the same time make it difficult for resellers.
