The Creator of the Bloody Baron Quests from The Witcher 3 Returns to CD Projekt RED

After working at Techland, the writer decided to return to CDPR.

Recently, players noticed that a “new-old” writer had joined CD Projekt RED. Karolina Stachyra has fully returned to the studio.

After leaving in 2016, she worked at another well-known Polish studio, Techland, where she held the position of lead narrative designer, and later became narrative director — working on an unannounced project based on a fantasy franchise.

From February to July of this year, Karolina Stachyra worked at CD Projekt RED as a consultant, and has now become a full-time “expert writer.

Karolina Stachyra worked on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and was involved in various quests, including the Bloody Baron questline, which many players consider one of the best in the game. Her profile does not specify which project she is currently working on at CD Projekt RED.

Given her experience, players speculate that Karolina might have been brought in to work on the next installment of The Witcher 4 franchise — its release is expected in 2028, or on the story expansion Songs of the Past — which is planned for release in 2027.
