The remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was recently released. CD Projekt RED introduced a lot of gameplay improvements, as well as updated graphics. Players began to explore the content and some users started to experience various bugs: the picture was clearly displayed incorrectly.
One of the most striking examples was a post by a user under the nickname heyjusdoit — during his playthrough, Geralt simply turned black.
Some who managed to play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered also reported that their textures started to disappear, and in some cases, models might start flickering. For example, NilkkiHiiri1, an AMD graphics card owner, encountered this.
Community members recalled advice from CD Projekt RED support: “Before diving into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, make sure your graphics drivers have been updated to the recommended version.”
The following driver versions were specified for different graphics cards:
- NVIDIA: 617.14
- AMD: 26.9.2
- Intel 32.0.101.8993
heyjusdoit confirmed that after installing the new AMD driver, “my Geralt turned white again.” This update also helps to solve the texture problem.
