The remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was recently released. Shortly before the launch, gameplay footage began to be published online, and some fans became concerned about the preservation of a specific flying bird model. In the presented videos, they could not find the low-poly pigeon, which has long become a real meme in the franchise's fan community.
Players, like SERBrator, hastily concluded that the developers had gotten rid of the meme bird. However, SERBrator then turned to the community again and admitted his mistake: “I was informed that different models are used for flying pigeons and those that can be seen on the ground.”

In the description of the changes to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster, the developers noted that “many textures and models were updated based on resources from The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project.” Modder HalkHogan helped CD Projekt RED with the texture update and, apparently, they decided not to touch the low-poly pigeons after all. The patch notes do not directly mention “pigeon.”
