Valve released SteamOS 3.9.2 Beta with improved support for portable devices from other manufacturers, including Lenovo Legion Go 2, as well as fixes for ASUS and some Intel processors.
One of the main changes was preliminary native support for screen brightness adjustment on Lenovo Legion Go 2. In addition, Valve fixed an issue with some ASUS devices where fans could run at too high a speed after waking from sleep.
The update also addresses an issue on the latest Intel Panther Lake processors, which caused some games, including Elden Ring and Dark Souls III, to fail to launch.
SteamOS 3.9.2 improves VRR performance and fixes bugs with the frame rate limiter. It also resolves issues with loss of control after accidental dragging of the launcher window, hidden Wi-Fi networks, and display on devices with Intel PTL+.
In addition, Valve made fixes to system startup, the on-screen keyboard, and nested desktop mode, and also updated security and stability components.
