Crimson Desert Developers Apologize and Postpone Charting the Unknown DLC Release

No updates for the main game have been released yet.

It was expected that a large premium expansion, Charting the Unknown, would be released for Crimson Desert Enhanced in mid-October. However, Pearl Abyss studio will need a little more time to work on it.

Recently, the developers addressed the community and announced the postponement:

Greetings, Graymanes! We are diligently working on the Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown expansion to bring you new adventures in Pywel. However, we have come to the conclusion that we need additional development time to ensure high quality and stable gameplay.

Therefore, the authors of Crimson Desert Enhanced explain, it was decided to postpone the release of the Charting the Unknown expansion by two weeks — the DLC will be available on October 29, 2026, on PC and consoles:

We know that many of you are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to return to the game, and we sincerely apologize for the prolonged wait. We will use this time to refine the content and will make every effort to give you an unforgettable gaming experience.

With the Charting the Unknown expansion, adventures will unfold not only on land but also in the ocean — players will be able to control a ship and explore islands. In addition, it will be possible to rent and manage objects, and develop relationships with NPCs.
