Recently, Coffee Stain Studios and Coffee Stain Publishing announced the first expansion for Satisfactory, titled Core Values Expansion. It will expand the world of the factory-building sandbox game — players will be invited to embark on an underground expedition.

In the announcement trailer, the developers first showed a scene on the surface, and then the camera began to smoothly descend underground — into a new area where various creatures, resources, and more will be presented. The video shows a cat-like character with one eye and ears resembling those of bats.

Satisfactory goes underground - first teaser for Core Values expansion

The developers reported that players will have to delve into the planet's depths:

Pioneers will delve into the depths of planet MASSAGE-2(A‑B)b into a brand new biome: new resources, flora, fauna, and much more await you. You will build an underground network of factories with new production lines and buildings, uncovering more and more of the world's secrets as you progress deeper. Construct, automate, explore, and exploit — all while steadfastly adhering to FICSIT's "core values".
