Sony, at the beginning of October 2026, traditionally reminds gamers about upcoming releases. This month, several projects from long-standing franchises will be released – Ace Combat, Call of Duty, Castlevania, and Star Wars, as well as Valor Mortis – a new title from the creators of Ghostrunner.
List of October PlayStation releases:
- October 2 — a new installment in the arcade flight simulator franchise, access to which has already been granted to owners of the premium edition.
- October 6 — Star Wars: Galactic Racer — a racing game from the Star Wars franchise.
- October 8 — Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival — a horror game from Saber Interactive, in which the developers intend to present a lot of mature content. As Aidan, players will have to unleash the power of the mysterious 'Genesis Configuration' puzzle to save his girlfriend Sunny from the underworld of the Labyrinth.
- October 13 — Valor Mortis — a first-person soulslike action game, in which players take on the role of a resurrected soldier of Napoleon's army.
- October 15 — Castlevania: Belmont's Curse — a 2D action game about monster hunters, set in 1499: 'Paris is engulfed in flames, and monstrous creatures suddenly emerge from the shadows'.
- October 20 — Mycopunk — a cooperative looter-shooter, in which players will have to uncover the cause of a 'mysterious planetary-scale fungal invasion'.
- October 22 — Final Fantasy Resonance — an adventure role-playing game, whose creators want to show that 'pixel graphics have no limits'.
- October 23 — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 — a new installment in the shooter franchise, now the campaign will show the war on the Korean Peninsula. There will be traditional multiplayer and an updated DMZ mode.
- October 29 — Phantom Blade Zero — a wuxia adventure. The main character is accused of murdering his master. He receives a mortal wound to the heart and now has only 66 days to live: 'Fight off assassins, uncover a global conspiracy, and protect what you believe in, at the cost of your life'.
