Arc Raiders will be temporarily free and PvE mode will be tested soon

Players will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the extraction project for free.

At launch, the peak online players for Arc Raiders on PC exceeded 480 thousand, but over the past year, it has significantly decreased. In recent months, it has been around 29 – 40 thousand.

Recently, the Embark Studios team announced that a decision had been made to make Arc Raiders temporarily free. From October 8 to October 12, 2026, everyone will be able to play the acclaimed project not only on PC via Steam but also on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles.

As part of this promotion, players will get access to the full version of Arc Raiders and will be able to evaluate all gameplay mechanics and content:

On October 8, the Frozen Trail update will also be released — this will be the largest update since the release of Arc Raiders. The game will add a new map, enemies, gear, outposts, a battle pass, and other content. Also on this day, a new premium add-on called Frozen Trail Collector Set will be released for the game — with cosmetics, raider tokens, and premium access to rewards from the “Frozen Trail” pass.

In addition, in October, the creators of Arc Raiders plan to conduct a test of the full-fledged PvE mode — scheduled to start on October 13.
