Earlier this year, a story expansion for DOOM: The Dark Ages (or "Revelations" in Russian localization) was released, which received "very positive" reviews from players. The developers have prepared new levels with more complex puzzles, demons, and various secrets:

After experiencing betrayal, the severely wounded Slayer finds himself in a terrifying purgatory. He must uncover terrible secrets and regain his former strength with the help of a new mysterious ally. He must escape the prison of his mind and defeat the spawn of the gods to open the way to freedom for his followers.
