LEGO Group and Toei Animation Announce Shenron and Goku Dragon Ball Set

In November, fans of Dragon Ball anime and manga will be able to purchase a new LEGO set. With it, they will be able to build the eternal dragon Shenron, as well as get seven Dragon Balls and a Goku minifigure on the Kinto'un cloud.

The LEGO Group has announced a new partnership with Toei Animation, the animation studio behind Akira Toriyama's iconic Dragon Ball media franchise. As part of this collaboration, the LEGO Group will bring the action and adventure of the Dragon Ball universe to the LEGO building sets line for the first time this year, with more to follow in 2027 and beyond.

First, people will have the opportunity to purchase the LEGO Icons Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku set, consisting of 1764 pieces. Building enthusiasts will be able to recreate the moment when Shenron rises above the seven Dragon Balls, with a small Goku flying on his Kinto'un cloud at the center of a scene dedicated to one of anime's most iconic heroes.

Inspired by the original episodic Dragon Ball series, the LEGO design team studied animation frames and classic poses, experimenting with building techniques and design solutions to accurately capture Shenron's recognizable silhouette and scale in LEGO elements.

The result is a stunning collectible model showcasing Shenron's long, winding body, his flowing scales, and intricate details.

A small Goku on his Kinto'un cloud is located at the center of the composition.

Users can detach and rearrange the minifigure to create various story moments. At the base of the model are seven 2x2 bricks – the seven Dragon Balls.

Assembling this set will be easier with the LEGO Builder app, which provides detailed 3D digital instructions with the ability to zoom, rotate, and track progress during the building process.
