Lucia and Jason from GTA VI will be vulnerable and strong characters - new footage shown
The writers aimed to make the characters feel like real people.
As the release of Grand Theft Auto VI approaches, various details about the project are being revealed. Recently, Game Informer presented a large feature dedicated to the new Rockstar Games title, and now Love Magazine has provided some footage.
In addition, information was shared about the relationship between the main characters — Lucia and Jason. Screenwriter Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern said that the creators wanted to make the protagonists imperfect; they are both strong and vulnerable at the same time:
We wanted both protagonists to be vulnerable, strong, imperfect, sometimes right, and sometimes not, capable of learning from each other. This, in our opinion, is what makes them real and a great team.
Another screenwriter, Alexa D’Agostino, noted that she tried to write the characters of GTA VI as real, complete people with their own desires:
When you focus on writing a complete person with their own desires, you will get something completely imperfect — with clichés, but undeniably real.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
