Gears of War: E-Day Sets Series Record in Early Access
Gears of War: E-Day has not yet been released, but it has already set a new series record for concurrent players on Steam, almost doubling the result of Gears 5.
The game from The Coalition will be released on October 6 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, including Steam. Owners of the most expensive edition have already received the opportunity to play as part of Advanced Access.
Despite the mixed attitude of players towards early access, it attracted a fairly large audience. The peak number of concurrent E-Day players reached 20,374 people, which became the best result in the history of the series, excluding free beta tests.
For comparison, the previous record belonged to Gears 5 – 10,196 players. Gears Tactics showed a result of 7,351 players. After the full release, E-Day could climb much higher.
