The gacha game Love and Deepspace has been on the market for several years. Sometimes, events occur with the free-to-play project that attract the attention of even casual players who are not interested in such games.
This summer, reports of a “stinky” protest began to surface — users said that they were unhappy with the announcement of a new character and began to threaten the developers, at one point sending them manure. Now Love and Deepspace is in the spotlight due to a scandal involving poisonous drinks.
Recently, a post appeared on the Love and Deepspace social media account:
Shake, stir… and take a sip! Once you've tasted this special cocktail, you won't be able to forget it. Exotic fruits, brought together, turn into the true taste of happiness. A little of this, a little of that — and the last essential ingredient…? What secret ingredient would you add?
The post was supplemented with promotional images of drinks. At first glance, everything looks normal: one drink is made from pomegranate juice, the other uses peach juice. The nuance is what is used to decorate these drinks — if someone follows the recipe, it will harm their health and their life could be at risk.
The flame lily contains colchicine — this substance can be used as a medicine, but it can also cause vomiting and diarrhea. Another plant mentioned by the developers is poisonous and, when consumed, causes hallucinations, fever, and tachycardia.
Players noticed this “nuance” and began to express their indignation. Soon, another post appeared on the Love and Deepspace account — the developers urged not to follow these recipes:
Warning: all depicted drinks are fictional and intended for in-game use only. Do not attempt to recreate or consume them in reality.
