Europa Universalis V to get DLC about the struggle for the Strait of Gibraltar and expeditions - Paradox showed Across the Pillars
Paradox Interactive recently presented a trailer for the Across the Pillars expansion for the global strategy game Europa Universalis V. This time, the authors will offer players to join the struggle for the Strait of Gibraltar and decide the fate of the Iberian Peninsula.
The game will add content for several powers that compete for dominance in Southwestern Europe — for Castile, Morocco, and Granada.
New historical events are being prepared for the powers of the Iberian Peninsula and the Maghreb, and new bureaucratic mechanisms inspired by the history of North Africa, Portugal, and Spain will appear.
The release of update 1.4, Rio Salado, with free new features, is scheduled for October 28. The update will introduce a new Expeditions system — some will follow an established historical route, while others will follow their own path. Some routes will become a “global race” in which the first nation to succeed can receive a reward.
