In mid-September, Marvel's Wolverine was released on PlayStation 5. The new game from Insomniac Games is not officially available on PC, but with the help of an emulator called "KyTyPS5," players were still able to experience the new title on a computer.
Initially, the game only launched to the menu on KyTyPS5, but over time, it became possible to reach gameplay. Tech enthusiasts are gradually resolving performance issues, and recently, the author of the Unreal Gaming PC YouTube channel shared a new test recording of Marvel's Wolverine on PC — he managed to achieve over 20 FPS.
The game was run on a PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, paired with a GeForce RTX 4080 (Asus ROG Strix OC) graphics card.
However, it's too early to celebrate. During action scenes, the frame rate is unstable, making the experience look like a slideshow. Sometimes, the frame rate in Marvel's Wolverine drops to 1-3 FPS.
Tech enthusiasts managed to go from simply launching the Demon's Souls remake on an emulator to achieving 30-40+ FPS in about a few months, so some players hope that Marvel's Wolverine can follow a similar path.
