The October PS Plus lineup caused dissatisfaction among some players, and Japanese subscribers received an even less attractive version: instead of Hunt: Showdown 1896, they were given Hello Neighbor.
The standard Sony lineup included F1 25, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, and Hunt: Showdown 1896. For Japan, the first two games were retained, but the Crytek project was replaced with Hello Neighbor.
On paper, the replacement seems controversial: Hunt: Showdown 1896 received mixed reviews, but the game has its own audience. Hello Neighbor was met much more coldly by critics – the game's average Metacritic score does not reach 40 out of 100.
Sony has already changed the PS Plus lineup for individual regions multiple times. The reasons could be game availability, distribution agreements, or licenses, although the company did not specify the exact reason for replacing Hunt: Showdown 1896 this time.
