Path of Exile Creator Doubts Diablo V Release in 2029

Path of Exile creator Chris Wilson believes that Diablo V will not be ready for its planned spring 2029 release due to Blizzard's tight schedule and a record number of classes.

Path of Exile creator Chris Wilson believes that Diablo V is unlikely to be ready for its planned spring 2029 release, and suggests a possible delay.

According to Wilson of Grinding Gear Games, Blizzard has too tight a schedule, especially considering that the new installment will feature more classes than any other game in the series.

In my opinion, the game will not be ready by spring 2029. But there's nothing wrong with that; delays happen and are normal in this industry. I can't even count how many times I've had to delay the releases of new leagues in Path of Exile, and players weren't against it.

Wilson also speculated why Blizzard announced Diablo V so early. In his opinion, the presentation was aimed not so much at players as at Microsoft's management.

Remember that BlizzCon is not only for Blizzard game fans, but also for Microsoft, whose representatives have recently said they want to see more major releases from this company.
