Russian versions of Viking games from the North Sea board game trilogy have been priced

The next campaign for the Lavka Games publishing house will be the North Sea board game trilogy. While the exact pre-order dates are unknown, the team has already shared some details with gamers.

This refers to three standalone projects, united by the Viking theme, which can be played individually or as a campaign. This extensive trilogy includes the games "Shipwrights of the North Sea. Reprint", "Raiders of the North Sea" with two expansions and a solo mode, "Explorers of the North Sea" with two expansions, and a general campaign expansion "Saga of the North Sea".

The Russian versions of these board games will be significantly cheaper than their foreign counterparts. Each game will cost 2990 rubles (with a maximum personal discount - 2691 rubles). Promo cards as a gift and a discount for combo sets are also expected.

The first part of the trilogy takes place at the dawn of the Viking Age - around 800 AD. The gameplay mechanics of this city-building and shipbuilding game are based on card drafting, engine building, and resource management. Gamers act as shipwrights competing to build the largest fleet in the North Sea.

In the "Reprint": direct sabotage of opponents has been removed, the game lasts exactly 5 rounds, cards have become multifunctional, full-fledged production chains and card combinations have appeared, three progression tracks giving unique bonuses have been added, Jarl and Hero leader cards, and a full-fledged solo mode has been introduced.

The second part of the trilogy - "Raiders of the North Sea" - takes place during the heyday of the Vikings. The key game mechanic is worker placement and retrieval, with auxiliary mechanics being set collection and dice rolling modifiers. This is a dynamic eurogame with simple rules and quick games.

Players, acting as warriors, strive to impress the chieftain by raiding unsuspecting settlements across the sea. Participants will gather a crew, secure provisions, travel north in search of gold, iron, and livestock, and try to gain glory in battles, even if they are carried away by Valkyries.

For it, Lavka Games will release the "Hall of Heroes" and "Fields of Fame" expansions, as well as promo cards and a collector's storage box. And in "Explorers of the North Sea", players will become ambitious sea captains who set out to find new lands to settle and control. On longships, they will transport their crews between newly discovered islands to capture livestock, build outposts, and complete various objectives.
