Marvel's Wolverine was released in mid-September. Officially, the new game from Insomniac Games is only available on PlayStation 5, but soon after, it began to be launched on PC using emulators. There has been some success: players have been able to reach gameplay, but performance still leaves much to be desired — unstable 20-30 frames can be observed, and during battles, the action turns into a slideshow.
Besides emulation, there is another approach — native game launch on PC. Tech enthusiast Clean-Market5761 recently showed his experiment on porting Marvel's Wolverine to PC, meaning the game runs without an emulator:
A glitchy, buggy, but very fun experiment I've been working on for the past couple of weeks. This is a real working PC build, not a PS5 emulation and not a 'convert PS5 executable to PC' type solution. Neither KytyPS5 nor AnyPS5 were used — the process is truly exhausting and very laborious.
In the footage shown by Clean-Market5761, it is visible that in some scenes, Wolverine's model glitches heavily — the hero can lose his head and other body parts.
Clean-Market5761 soon after publishing the screenshots said that he now plans to work on other PS5 games: «Now I'm moving on to other PlayStation 5 games — it's been a very fun journey».
Earlier, Insomniac Games studio fell victim to hackers, so various materials related to Marvel's Wolverine were leaked online, and therefore another similar 'PC port' of the game may appear in the future.
