Recently, tech enthusiasts presented a new way to play Grand Theft Auto V. A browser-based version of the Rockstar Games hit appeared – everyone could play it, no download required.

The creators of this version of Grand Theft Auto V did not disclose technical details of the project's implementation. Now, if you try to go to the original link to the “browser-based GTA V” website, nothing loads. However, enthusiasts found a way to bypass the restriction: it turned out that Grand Theft Auto V can still be launched in a browser via the Internet Archive.

The release of the new installment of the Grand Theft Auto VI franchise is scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The developers have not yet said anything about a PC version, so some players are hoping for tech enthusiasts who might come up with something with emulators.
