Enthusiast Revives The Witcher: Monster Slayer - CDPR Closed the Game Three Years Ago

Android device owners will be able to go hunting.

CD Projekt RED introduced many different projects based on The Witcher franchise, but not all of them were successful. For example, the AR game (augmented reality) The Witcher: Monster Slayer was closed several years ago.

However, it was recently remembered again. A developer under the nickname NatusAnima is working on reviving The Witcher: Monster Slayer. He explained that the original server-side no longer exists, so the project “uses a restored game server” and modifies the provided copy of the game so that it can connect to it. His project focuses on version “1.1.116”.

NatusAnima published the source code of the project “Witcher: Monster Slayer — Revival Project” in open access on GitHub. The archive he published does not include files that are protected by copyright, i.e., players will need to find and install The Witcher: Monster Slayer themselves.

The game requires an Android phone. NatusAnima suggests players download the client from Google Play via Aurora Store.

There is a technical nuance: the project is being created with the help of artificial intelligence (Claude is indicated on the page).
