In October, the creators of the Olympus 2207 mod based on the Fallout 2 engine announced the PC release on Steam of their full-fledged game called Olympus 2249. The Dieselship Studio team published a video diary and talked about the project's lore.
Olympus 2249 is a standalone story, but those familiar with Olympus 2207 will appreciate the references. From a gameplay perspective, it's a cRPG set in a harsh dieselpunk world. A turn-based combat system is used.
The game features a 'karma' system (five options will be offered), which determines the availability of quests:
Actions, words, and consequences are closely linked to this choice and have a mutual influence. Some quests will become unavailable, while others, on the contrary, will only open for a certain karmic type. And it's not a fact that by the end of the journey, your character's worldview will remain unchanged.
The Olympus 2249 page on Steam is available at the following link. The game is presented in 'early access' format.
The current version offers approximately a quarter of the story and is fully playable. According to the authors, it can take from 3 to 7 hours to complete — depending on the build, play style, and the number of completed side quests. All gameplay mechanics have already been implemented.
