Players believe GTA VI developers' interview confirmed theory about Jason's developmental peculiarities

It is assumed that the protagonist has a serious disorder. This could explain his behavior when interacting with other people.

Over the past few years, players have created many theories about Grand Theft Auto VI. Some enthusiasts try to unravel the screenwriters' intentions based on indirect signs. In Raul's case, there was a miscalculation — many expected him to be a cold-blooded professional, but he turned out to be a very emotional person.

Perhaps one of the popular theories about GTA VI's main character, Jason Duval, could be more accurate. In promotional materials, some found his interactions with others strange, his movements seemed unnatural, leading to the assumption that the protagonist is a person with autism.

Now, members of the Grand Theft Auto VI community have drawn attention to a recent interview with the game's creators in Love Magazine. They were attracted by one specific phrase, which is interpreted as indirect confirmation of the theory about Jason's autism.

The character was described with the phrase “wired differently from other people.”

This phrase was uttered during a conversation with Love Magazine when Rockstar's Senior Vice President of Narrative, Rupert Humphries, touched upon Jason's character and his motivations that led him down the path of crime.

You have to understand that he resorts to such measures — dealing [prohibited items], robbing banks, and all that — because of his life circumstances. But in many ways, the player will have to decide for themselves: whether he really needs it or if he makes such a choice because he is wired differently from other people.

If Jason is indeed autistic, it could explain the peculiarities of his behavior that players noted during the presentation. The main speaker was the second main character — Lucia, while Jason acted more than he spoke.
