Valve's Free Hit Yields to New MMORPG in Steam Chart. Last Week's Best-Selling Products Named

Valve continues to track the financial success of various games.

Valve traditionally summarizes the financial results of the past week on Steam. The statistics cover the period from September 29 to October 6, 2026.

The leader in both overall and premium categories was the free-to-play MMORPG called AION 2 from NC developers. Until recently, founder packs were sold for the game. The new release managed to surpass another free-to-play hit — Counter-Strike 2, with Valve's game taking second place. The top three was rounded out by the new installment in the arcade simulator franchise, ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE — the game has already broken its peak online record on Steam several times.
