PS5 Massively Hacked - Sony Faces Serious Problem
The PS5 jailbreak for firmware versions 7.00 to 13.60 has become a widespread phenomenon within a week.
The PS5 has received a large-scale jailbreak, working on firmware versions from 7.00 to 13.60, which has allowed modders to run emulators on the console and significantly accelerated the development of the hack over the past week.
Firmware 13.60 was released in July, so the new exploit works on most consoles where the latest system version is not installed. However, modern games like Marvel’s Wolverine require newer firmware and remain inaccessible.
With the help of AI tools, modders have already launched emulators for various consoles on the PS5, from Switch to the original Xbox. This has led to an increased demand for consoles with suitable firmware, and GameStop has started selling used PS5 Pro consoles for up to $1500.

In parallel, the emulation of the PS5 itself on PC is rapidly developing: modders have already managed to launch several exclusives, including Demon’s Souls.
In the coming weeks, Sony will likely strengthen its protection with new updates, although this will not fix vulnerabilities on older firmware. The pace of hacking development could become a serious problem for the company.
