It is already known that Capcom is working on an add-on for Resident Evil Requiem. However, the developers had not revealed details of the upcoming DLC — until recently.
Fans of the franchise were drawn to an interview with screenwriter Haris Orkin. During the event, he accidentally let slip details about the DLC's story — it is expected that the developers will expand on Spencer's storyline:
Spencer has his own story arc in Resident Evil Requiem […] and in the DLC you will learn even more about it. I probably shouldn't have said that.
The discussion was joined by a well-known insider with a specific reputation, Dusk Golem. He was largely correct about Resident Evil Requiem, so some players have started paying more attention to his statements.
He reiterated what he had said before: the Resident Evil Requiem add-on is allegedly planned for release in late 2027.
The remake of Resident Evil Veronica is currently in active development. It was officially stated that the game is intended for release in 2027. According to Dusk Golem, the developers were “aiming for a Q1 release.”
Dusk Golem also mentioned that work is underway on a remake of the first Resident Evil. Allegedly, the Arklay (Spencer) mansion is used in both the DLC and the remake, so a lot of effort is being put into accurately recreating the iconic location.
