Helldivers 2 recently "entered a new era". Bishop1664 talked about a modification that allows for a full first-person view. This allows for complete immersion in battles as a hell diver.
Helldivers 2 players will be able to use FPS mode not only when moving on foot; first-person view will also be available while riding an FRV, using stationary installations, and combat robots. The modder also provided for the possibility of customizing the cockpit for mechs: you can choose between a glass or a "hidden" version of the cockpit.
Modder Th3ShadowDragon007 offers various options for customizing the game camera. For example, a "helmet overlay" is possible, inspired by the Halo franchise. You can also adjust the FOV and aiming view; switching between first/third-person view is provided.
Th3ShadowDragon007 distributes the "First Person Perspective-HD2" modification for Helldivers 2 for free via Nexus Mods. Work on the mod is ongoing and it is being created without the use of AI. Some things are not yet fully implemented, so during the game, the camera can temporarily switch back to third-person view, for example, when interacting with terminals.
