Xbox Head Promises to Restore Console Owners' Trust and Change Game Pass

Microsoft's Head of Gaming, Asha Sharma, stated that Xbox is "climbing out of a big hole" and discussed plans to restore console owners' trust and change Game Pass.

At an internal Microsoft Town Hall meeting, Asha Sharma discussed the current state of the brand and its strategy for the coming years. According to her, Xbox is once again showing dynamic growth – some metrics have improved two to three times, the decline in time users spend on consoles has stopped, and players' positive attitude towards the brand has grown by almost a third over the past year.

Sharma paid special attention to console owners. She stated that the company has no “moral or business right” to expand into other markets if it cannot first properly care for the most loyal users of its home device.

Changes will also affect Game Pass. According to the head of the gaming division, the current subscription model led to sharp fluctuations in Microsoft's financial performance. In the future, the service should become more flexible: players will be allowed to choose individual content packages according to their preferences.
