The series "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" disappointed many Tolkien fans, but Middle-earth has not lost its followers because of this show, which will get its third season on November 11.
To cheer up fans of this universe, photographer Vadim "As I See" Kravchenko held a photoshoot. During it, cosplayer Dan'ka "Lakomka" Lakomkin appeared as Gandalf the Grey from "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring," battling the Balrog.
This battle unfolds in the ruined halls of Moria, where a group of heroes tries to escape from an awakened ancient monster. Gandalf immediately understands the scale of the threat and orders the others to flee to the exit, deciding to single-handedly hold back the creature on the narrow stone bridge of Khazad-dûm.
Face to face with the Balrog, engulfed in flame and smoke, the wizard blocks its path and utters his most famous phrase: "You shall not pass!" At this moment, Gandalf combines the power of his staff and the Elven sword Glamdring, erecting a powerful magical shield that withstands the crushing blow of the demon's fiery sword.
Then the wizard strikes the stone masonry with his staff, causing the bridge under the Balrog's feet to collapse with a crash, and the creature plunges into the dark abyss. However, at the very last moment, the falling villain manages to swing his fiery whip and hook Gandalf's ankle with a loop, dragging the wizard with him.
Gandalf only manages to hang on the edge of the cliff and shout to his stunned and weeping friends: "Fly, you fools!" — after which his fingers slip, and he falls after the Balrog into the darkness, leaving the Fellowship of the Ring in deep sorrow.
