Developers of the Heroes of Might & Magic V Remake on UE5 Show Progress and Gameplay - Four Factions Almost Ready

Work on Heroes 5: Reborn is steadily progressing.

In October, the Heroes 5: Reborn project team once again made their presence known. The developers presented a new diary, in which they talked about their successes in porting Heroes of Might & Magic V to the modern Unreal Engine 5.

Two years have passed since the publication of the first video for Heroes 5: Reborn. Over the past years, the authors have made significant progress, and currently, a large part of the gameplay for four factions, which will be available to players in the first version of the remake — Inferno, Necropolis, Order of the Radiant Dawn, Sylvan Elves — is ready.

The developers have prepared an improved landscape generation system for the global map, meaning it now supports “all terrain types” (landscape) that are in the game — including snowy and desert locations, as well as Orc and Necropolis locations. In addition, various objects have been added to the map, and trees and other vegetation have received swaying animations from the wind, identical to the original.

In Heroes 5: Reborn, almost all spells from all four schools of magic have already been implemented, and now heroes can summon elementals, set mines, cast a wall of fire, and create crystals on the battlefield. A full-fledged army deployment system before battle has also been made.

The developers publish materials for the Heroes 5: Reborn project on the eponymous YouTube channel, which can be found at the following link.
