The Witcher 3 Remaster Received Patch 5.01 - CDPR Fixed Graphics and Improved Optimization

Developers paid attention to glow effects and refined them.

CD Projekt RED continues to gradually refine The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster. Recently, the developers returned with a major patch 5.01, which includes a number of technical improvements and various bug fixes.

Specialists fixed the issue of not receiving rewards for watching streams (Twitch Drops and Bilibili Drops), refined glow effects, adjusted correct collision calculation with vegetation, and also fixed the user interface. For example, an error was eliminated where the message "You earned a skill point!" could get stuck and remain on the screen.

Some changes and improvements:

  • Fixed an issue where vegetation did not react correctly to collisions.
  • Fixed a momentary flicker of control hints on the meditation screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the elixirs tutorial did not appear after switching to the "Elixirs and Food" tab.
  • Introduced various changes to improve the performance of console versions.
  • Fixed an issue on PlayStation 5 where settings would reset every time the game was launched.
  • Fixed incorrect frame rate limits in various graphics modes on the base PlayStation 5 model.
  • A number of graphical improvements have been made, including refined glow effects, tone mapping, character lighting, ray tracing, and path tracing.
  • Fixed an issue where items from the "My Rewards" program, as well as Roach's gear from Twitch Drops and/or Bilibili Drops, might not appear in the chest in Vizima.

Changes for the PC version:

  • Fixed an issue where the game could select the wrong graphics card in some cases.
  • Fixed an issue where the GTAO quality setting would reset after restarting the game.
  • Fixed an issue where DLSS or XeSS could activate on unsupported graphics cards when switching graphics settings.
  • Fixed an issue where skill tooltips might not update until hovered over again.
  • Fixed an issue where an incorrect setting might be displayed for dynamic resolution after changing the anti-aliasing mode.
