Epic Games is giving away an updated version of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, which at one time helped shape the combination of first-person shooter and RPG. Nightdive Studios is responsible for the remaster: the developers updated character and weapon models, animations, controller controls, and added mod support.
The events unfold in 2114, 42 years after SHODAN's story on Citadel Station. The hero wakes up from cryosleep on the starship Von Braun, not remembering who he is or how he got on board. The ship is overrun with mutants and deadly robots, and the fate of the crew remains a mystery.
The game features cross-play co-op, three military specializations, 50 achievements, support for ultrawide monitors, and up to 144 frames per second. To get the game, simply add it to your Epic Games Store library before the giveaway ends.
