Star Wars: Galactic Racer was recently released on consoles and PC. This is a new version of the classic racing game in the format of individual races. The game's launch attracted the attention of even those PC gamers who were not particularly interested in the Star Wars franchise and the genre.
Denuvo was used to protect the PC version of Star Wars: Galactic Racer. Many are already used to DRM being easily bypassed with a hypervisor, but in this case, a problem arose — the usual approach didn't work. One of the 'crack' creators said that an improved version of Denuvo protection was added to the game:
It seems that this game uses an updated version of Denuvo, which makes it harder than usual to create a 'crack' for it on release day. One of the processor function 'flags' that could previously be disabled for the cracked version to work correctly is now effectively forcibly activated by the game when it starts, which then leads to crashes.
However, hackers are not discouraged and believe that 'sooner or later' a solution for cracking or bypassing the new version of Denuvo in Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be found.
The game itself launched on Steam with 'very positive' reviews — many players were satisfied.
