Anbernic RG DDS Announced - Dual-Screen Handheld Console with Built-in Stylus

Nintendo 3DS fans have a big celebration today, as Anbernic plans to release the RG DDS handheld console in the future, which will feature two displays, a built-in stylus, a Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 chip, and a 6000 mAh battery.

Anbernic has announced a new portable console with two IPS screens, named RG DDS.

The upper 4.7-inch display will have a resolution of 1200 × 720 pixels, a density of 300 pixels per inch, and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The lower screen will have a diagonal of 4 inches, a resolution of 960 × 720 pixels, a density of 300 pixels per inch, and a maximum brightness of 500 nits.

The device will feature a set of classic buttons, two sticks, a D-pad, speakers and a microphone, a button dedicated to AI, a Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 chip, an active cooling system, a 6000 mAh battery, and a new software control center.

In addition, the clamshell will have a built-in stylus, suitable for gaming and creativity. According to the trailer, three color options for the console will be offered: white, black, and blue.

Unfortunately, it is currently unknown how much the Anbernic RG DDS will cost, when pre-orders will open, how long it will take until release, and when the full list of new product specifications will be presented.
