Star Wars: Galactic Racer gathered up to 15 thousand concurrent players on Steam, received 78% positive reviews, and demonstrated good optimization on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, providing stable 60 FPS.
The start was not record-breaking, although for a niche futuristic arcade, the result is quite decent. On PS5, the game is also selling successfully in a number of regions, and the average user rating has reached 4.66 out of 5 stars.
According to Digital Foundry experts, Galactic Racer has become one of the best examples of optimization on Unreal Engine 5. The game uses Lumen lighting technologies, virtual shadows, and Nanite geometry.
On the base PS5 and Xbox Series X, the project runs at an internal resolution of 1296p with upscaling to 4K and maintains a stable 60 frames per second. On PS5 Pro, the resolution is increased to approximately 1728p without performance loss.
On Xbox Series S, the game runs at 864p. To maintain smoothness, the developers replaced dynamic Lumen lighting with static lighting and simplified vegetation.
