Another Ubisoft game dies: Rainbow Six Mobile servers to be shut down in 2027

On January 15, 2027, Ubisoft will shut down the mobile shooter Rainbow Six Mobile, which was released internationally just a few months ago.

Ubisoft addressed players:

Greetings, Operators!
There's no easy way to say this: we've made the difficult decision to shut down Rainbow Six Mobile. The game will be available until January 15, 2027. The next season will be released next week as planned.
Since our soft launch in 2023, you've helped us grow the game and build an active community of players from around the world over 15 seasons. Bringing the Rainbow Six experience to mobile has been an exciting journey, and we're proud of our team's passion, creativity, and dedication.
While we are proud of what we've built with the community, our developers will be transitioning to other long-term strategic projects.
In the coming weeks, we'll share more details so you know what to expect and how to prepare for the upcoming changes.
Thank you for being a part of Rainbow Six Mobile and for everything you've contributed to this community. We are truly grateful to everyone who played our game.
The Rainbow Six Mobile Development Team.
Rainbow Six Mobile - Global Launch Trailer

The shutdown of Rainbow Six Mobile shows that Ubisoft has not yet managed to establish itself in the mobile gaming market, even with a well-known franchise. Several years of development and 15 seasons of content support did not help the project stay afloat.
