Three years later, The Outlast Trials sets new records - the horror game is flooded with Chinese players
Now it's easy to find a match, but not so easy to communicate with allies.
Recently, the developers of The Outlast Trials set a record 90% discount. This helped Red Barrels studio attract newcomers to the horror game. Among the new players, there were many users from China.
Soon, the creators of The Outlast Trials noted a record:

But the online growth of The Outlast Trials did not stop there. It continued to increase and eventually exceeded 147,000 players.
The influx of newcomers from China has led to situations where players in The Outlast Trials sometimes cannot find a match with English-speaking users for a long time. Due to time differences, there are times of day when the majority of the online audience are Chinese.
The Outlast Trials launched in early access in 2023, with a full release in 2024. Currently, Red Barrels studio is releasing new content for the game, as well as DLC packs with additional character skins.
