
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds to unite Bayonetta, Evangelion, and Final Fantasy VII Remake
Sega has revealed plans for the second year of support for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: the racing game will feature characters from Bayonetta, Evangelion, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Persona, as well as Godzilla and Sanrio heroes.
The second year of content support for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will begin on November 3, 2026. The game will receive a Duel mode with one-on-one races, Rival Duel Match with offline races against AI-controlled opponents, and Friend Match for online matches. Sega will also improve the gadget system.
On November 3, Bayonetta will be added to the game, and on the same day, the Godzilla Pack will be released with cars and a track based on the franchise. In late November, McLaren Racing will appear with a new car, and Aigis from Persona will join the races in 2027.
In January 2027, the Evangelion Pack will be released, featuring the Tokyo-3 track, pilots Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami Langley, as well as EVA-01, EVA-00, and EVA-02 robots.
In the second quarter of 2027, a Sanrio pack will appear with Hello Kitty, Kuromi, their cars, and a new track. In the second half of the year, additions for Final Fantasy VII Remake and Persona are expected.
