Activists criticized the Star Citizen campaign "Squadron 42" - they don't like the design of women

New promotional materials unpleasantly surprised some players.

Recently, Cloud Imperium Games, the studio that has been developing the space simulator Star Citizen for many years, reminded players about the existence of the story campaign Squadron 42. The developers added the project page to the Steam store and also published a new trailer.

This attracted increased attention to Squadron 42. Activists also paid attention to the project, who had questions about the design of female characters - they began to criticize Cloud Imperium Games.

According to the dissatisfied, the women in Squadron 42 turned out to be ugly. A user under the nickname LearningTheLaw started a discussion: "Squadron 42 - this is a game with a budget of about 600 million dollars and it has such "female" characters".

Discussion participant Audsauce had a question: "God damn it, what is that in the first screenshot?" LearningTheLaw replied that it was "Neil Druckmann-style art direction, but on the Cry Engine".

I didn't expect the Star Citizen developers to make female characters as ugly as in AAA games. However, apparently, they preferred to go the way of Concord [...] They just squandered the money received from Kickstarter sponsors.
