Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Gets 16-Player Co-op Thanks to Modders

Players can team up to fight crime.

Recently, modders from the PC Brazil team returned to the PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. They released a public version of multiplayer for Insomniac Games' superhero action game.

Originally, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was a single-player game, but now players can explore virtual New York and fight crime together (or with more players — the modification can support up to 16 players).

All gameplay mechanics will be available to players: free movement around the city, crime investigation. According to the modders, most missions are not yet playable in co-op, but there are exceptions. Currently, “some missions and side quests” are in the testing phase, and enthusiasts are fixing bugs.

The development of fan-made multiplayer for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is in its early stages, so modders warn early players: “Expect bugs.”
