CDPR couldn't do it, but The Witcher 3 fans did - Geralt got improved Witcher Senses

The enthusiast decided to refine the mechanic and added several options for customization.

The remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received not only many graphical but also gameplay improvements. For example, CD Projekt RED refined mechanics related to the combat system and Roach, but some fans note that there is still potential for further improvement of the game.

Recently, an enthusiast under the nickname invernoswelt introduced the WinterSense modification for the remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which gives Geralt improved Witcher Senses.

Invernoswelt's version adds clearer effect outlines for the senses, and players will also be able to customize how this mechanic works.

The original “uneven” lines are replaced by clear and precise outlines — you can change the thickness, softness, transparency, and color (or keep the original look).

Thanks to WinterSense, you can adjust the smoothness of the appearance and disappearance of Witcher Senses effects. For those who don't want to wait, there is an “Instant” mode — it will instantly display all elements.

In addition, Witcher Senses can remain active while collecting loot, so you won't have to activate it repeatedly.

The “WinterSense - Customizable Witcher Senses” modification for the remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is distributed free of charge via Nexus Mods.
