The physical edition of GTA VI is already hard to buy. Rockstar warned

Pre-orders for GTA VI sold out in some American stores a month before release. This refers to the physical edition with a download code for the game instead of a disc.

According to RockstarIntel, GTA VI for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S was no longer available for pre-order on Amazon US. A similar situation occurred in some Target stores, especially in major cities, including Los Angeles and New York. Availability depends on the region, and some of the issues may be related to errors in product listings.

Rockstar previously warned about the limited quantity of such editions: the official website states that the offer is valid while supplies last. It is currently unknown whether stores will receive new shipments.

Despite the absence of a disc, buyers receive a physical item for their collection, and the price is sometimes lower than the digital version. For example, Amazon UK offered the game for £65, £5 cheaper than many other stores.

So far, reports concern individual retail chains in the US. GTA VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026.
