The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced continues to be transformed by various enthusiasts. Recently, the AuraV Enhanced graphics modification appeared, which aims to take the visuals in the Rockstar Games title to a new level with improved lighting and higher quality shadows.
The AuraV Enhanced modification also includes ray-traced reflections, a new sky, volumetric clouds, and improved atmospheric lighting. In addition, rain and subsurface scattering (light interaction with skin) have been reworked, and wave movement will be affected by wind direction and strength.
There is a technical nuance: the modders noted that a PC with a GeForce RTX graphics card will be required for path tracing to work. In-game, mod settings can be switched; the project is presented on kyposmods — there is a Lite version (free), as well as “early access” to the extended version for Patreon subscribers.
Rockstar Games itself is currently preparing for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. The game will be released in November only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, and there is no information yet regarding the PC version.
