The Witcher 3 Remaster Receives Exclusive Patch for PlayStation 5

Developers have fixed the version for Sony consoles.

CD Projekt RED continues to gradually fix The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster. Recently, the developers announced the release of another update — it is only available on Sony consoles.

The “exclusive” update 5.01b is available on the regular PlayStation 5, as well as on the PlayStation 5 Pro. The creators of The Witcher 3 remaster did not go into the details of this update, but limited themselves to a general wording about various technical improvements:

This update includes various stability improvements that will help ensure more reliable game performance while traveling across the Continent as a Witcher.

CD Projekt RED community manager Marcin Momot also warned that update 5.01 for Nintendo Switch 2 “is still under development” and should be released “soon.” He did not specify a more exact release date.

Currently, CD Projekt RED is not only preparing fixes for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster, but is also developing a full-fledged new story expansion, Songs of the Past — they want to release it in 2027.
