Polyphony Digital studio has prepared a major update for the Gran Turismo 7 racing simulator, and Sony has unveiled a new gamepad in honor of the franchise's 30th anniversary.
This model is called DualSense – Gran Turismo Limited Edition and costs $85. Pre-orders open on October 22, and global sales are scheduled to start on December 10.
The gamepad is adorned with racing stripes and motorsport-style images, which are combined with a textured front panel imitating carbon fiber.
Gran Turismo 7 developer Kazunori Yamauchi spoke about the inspiration for the stylized DualSense:
Thirty years ago, Gran Turismo began with the idea of sharing the beauty and joy of cars. This anniversary gamepad celebrates the journey we have taken together, and I am sincerely grateful to everyone whose passion continues to inspire us.
The Spec IV (Part 1) update was introduced for Gran Turismo 7 — it includes the new SUGO International Racing Course track, as well as six car models:
- Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo
- MAZDA RX-VISION GT3 EVO '26
- Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line '23
- Honda Civic Si Group A version '87
- Ferrari F355 Berlinetta '94
- Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston '86
This update also includes a new introductory video that plays when the game starts, and features that allow you to view old models of different brands and submit applications for their purchase.
