Uncharted 2 turns 17 - many consider it Naughty Dog's best game

17 years later, the second installment of Nathan Drake's adventures remains the benchmark for Hollywood-style action in games.

The sequel to Uncharted was released in the autumn of 2009 and significantly surpassed the first part in terms of staging and technical execution. Among the most memorable episodes are escaping from a train car hanging over an abyss, chasing a helicopter amidst Nepalese ruins, and gunfights on a moving train.

The game impressed with its natural environments, camera work, and character interaction, doing without the brightly highlighted ledges common today. In addition to the story campaign, it featured a multiplayer mode and a cooperative survival arena, in which fans spent hundreds of hours.

For many players, the journey to mythical Shambhala was the main reason to buy a PlayStation 3. Even after almost two decades and the release of more technologically advanced sequels, part of the community still considers Among Thieves Naughty Dog's best work.
