CD Projekt RED continues to release patches for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster. Recently, update 5.01b was released, which is only available on Microsoft consoles. Previously, an update for PlayStation 5 consoles was introduced.
Update 5.01b for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster is available for the Xbox Series S version. The developers stated that they decided to change upscaling from TAAU to AMD FSR.
According to CD Projekt RED, this will not only improve image quality in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster, but the change should also positively affect performance.
This update was also released for Xbox Series X, but it does nothing — it had to be released due to the technical peculiarities of Microsoft consoles:
Patch 5.01b will also be available for download to players on Xbox Series X due to the peculiarities of the update delivery system for this platform; however, no changes are made in this version of the game.
The developers did not specify when they plan to release the next update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster.
